PA6 30% Glass Fiber Reinforced Product from Fishing Nets

PA6 30% Glass Fiber Reinforced Product from Fishing Nets

In recent years, renewable resources and sustainable products such as recycled materials have becoming increasingly important in many industries, such as automotive, white goods, electrical & electronics, due to a carbon-free future, less dependence on fossil resources, and legal regulations. The growing diversity of resources is one of the critical parameters for both availability and raw material quality. Especially the use of products produced by recycling wastes in nature in visual or functional applications has been frequently demanded in many industries.

In this context, recycling post-consumer wastes into raw materials is one of the effective ways to both conserve nature and create a sustainable resource for the industry. eurotec® has quickly adapted itself to sustainability efforts thanks to its many years of green product experience and continues to enrich its green product range every single day. eurotec® has developed a sustainable product with post-consumer waste content for the industry by using the raw materials obtained by mechanical recycling of fishing nets collected from fish farms in compound products. Meeting the mechanical and thermal requirements for many applications by reinforcing PA6-based fishing nets with glass fiber, this product is ready for use in functional applications (Table 1). In addition, some products containing different ratios of glass fiber reinforcement and/or impact modifiers have been developed and made ready for use to meet a range of application requirements, considering the needs across the industry.
