Therefore when a new component is produced for medical use, selecting the right material plays a key role. In the case of dentist implant box, suitability to autoclave sterilization method is a must. In autoclave sterilization pressurized steam and high temperature are used to kill microbes, spores, or viruses that are hard to destroy using conventional disinfection methods. During the autoclave sterilization temperatures can reach up to 132°C. Consequently, material for the box has to deliver high pressure steam resistance which can be achieved by using Tecotek® EP (PPSU) grades.
